    D'Tigress Defeat Mali To Win Afrobasket For 3rd Consecutive Time Sampson Adedeji Nigeria Women Basketball team D'Tigress have successfully defended the Women Afrobasketall title for the second consecutive time, BSNsports.com.ng can report.   The Nigeria senior women basketball team won the competition in 2017 and successfully defended the title in Dakar, Senegal, in 2019 after beating the host in the final. D'Tigress started the championship in Yaounde, Cameroon like a house on fire winning all their games with a good margin and scoreline. They faced Mali in the final on Sunday were able to come top with 70-59 points defeat to Mali and emerged champions for the third consecutive time.   Nigeria won the first quarter with 22-11 and was in cruise control at halftime with 31-24 points. D'Tigress emerged top in the third quarter with 59-38 points before crowning up with 70-59 points.   With the victory, D'Tigress now become the second country after Senegal to win the tournament for the third time in a row.
